Preview mxf files on old version of windows media player
Here is one for the books. We have an older version of windows media player which allows us to preview Mxf files easily with a simple right click. The new version of windows will not play the Mxf files. We do not want to have to go to the viewer to pull in the entire folder or many folders to be able to preview many individual clips before we pull them into our editor. We cannot even read the properties on the old viewer it gives us nothing. Seems it should be easy to find the old copy that works. This is critical because we are pulling from several hundred different folders and before I wait for them to come into premier I would like to see them.. How do we do this with a free program? Or how do we get the old version of windows media player to do it.
By previewing we do not have to wait to load them up..save a lot of time.David

P2CMS from https://www.panasonic.com/p2 allows you to open the cards and view the footage. And offload cards, and organize the footage…
