I have shot on an HVX200 in HD at 720p. The imported file specs for my clips show 960×720 frame size. I have my sequence setting set to the following:
    Frame Size: 960×720 HD (960×720) (16:9)
    Pixel Aspect Ration: HD (960×720)

Why does the image not fill the entire frame when viewing in this sequence?

Also, why does 720p footage always import as 29.97?

[Scott Gray] “Why does the image not fill the entire frame when viewing in this sequence?”

In the % window above the VIEWER and CANVAS select FIT TO WINDOW. Or you may need to adjust the windows to allow the footage to fill it 16:9. Going to the WINDOW menu and choosing one of the standard settings will make the footage fit perfectly…like TWO UP or STANDARD.
