    Howdy Cow!

I have scaled some footage in a composition, and I need to move this composition into a new composition and scale it back to the original size.

Will I then lose quality, or will AE understand that this is the same file (as it would with vector graphics) ?

    Thanks in advance!

    Sincerely
    Mats

with the collapse transformation switched on, your footage will render original quality.

I tried but then the new comp shows the same format as the original comp even if I have changed the scale to 100% x 133% in the new comp.

I want to keep the aspect ratio as it is, I just dont want to loose quality..

Don’t understand, scaling doesn’t work with collapsed transformation on?
1.Are you working with 3d swiched on? If so 3d should be on in the pre-comp too.
2.Aspect-ratio can also be changed in the interpret footage dialog
