I currently have two Premier Pro 1.5 editing stations that I wish to upgrade to allow one to capture HD and the other to be able to edit on the same level via decklink cards.

Here’s the specs on the systems…

    SuperMicro X5DAL-G
    Dual 2.8 Ghz Xeons
    2 Gig Kingston mem.
Highpoint RocketRaid-1820A (installed in second 64-bit PCI-X expansion slot)
Four Western Digital 250 gig drives (WDC WD2500JD) in a raid 0 configuration.
    NVIDIA Quatro4 750XGL (installed in 8x / 4x AGP Pro slot)
    SoundBlast Audigy2 ZS

Our Studio currently has a Sony Trinitron Production Monitor and a Samsung SyncMaster 403t

My thought was to install for :

System One: A DeckLink HD Pro 4:2:2 for use primarily capturing and used with the Sony Trinitron. ( This system needs to be mobile to move between our future greenscreen and the post room )

System Two: A DeckLink HD standard along with and a HD link to get the monitor out to the SyncMaster 403t

    Some Reservations I have…

I did not see this motherboard specifically mentioned as compatible, but there are other SuperMicros on the list. Does anyone know of any issues with this specific motherboard?

Is this a correct configuration of the hardware?

Are there any considerations I’m missing?

    Thanks in Advance.
