Preparing photos for Premiere Pro
What is to best way to prepare photos to fit in the safe action margin for Premiere Pro? I have tried cropping the photos using Photoshop; however, when I import the photos to Premiere Pro, the photos are automatically resized to a larger image which do not fit into safe action margin. Is there any way to fix this besides manually resizing the photos again in the preview window of Premiere Pro? Thanks!

You may need to turn off the automatic scaling of the images to the project frame size. (The last item on the Preferences / General page should be unchecked.)

Assuming you are working in DV 720×480, if you want an image that will fit perfectly in the window without resizing, you’ll have to export from Photoshop at 648×480. This has to do with the pixel aspect ratio, square in Photoshop, but not in Premiere.
You do have to take into account that if you work this way, you won’t be able to zoom or pan in the image without a lose of quality.
