Preparing for a large file
Hi,
Someone is about to give me a large file to work with. It’s a Quicktime file and it’s only three minutes long, but it’s 10gig so I’m guessing it’s HD. This is not something I’m used to. I usually just play around with 4:3 SD footage.I imagine I’ll have to set the sequence differently? Will I be able to tell from the file how to set things up? I’m thinking about the frame size and aspect ratio options in the sequence settings.
Any advice much appreciated.

Drop the file into a new sequence and let final Cut do the sequence presets for you.
