PremierePro CC UI super sluggish hit?
Hi there, guys.
Hope someone can help with this one.My UI has become super slow on my MacPro3.1 8core 2.8 GHz, GTX680 CUDA, Quadro4000 UI. Os 10.8.5, 32GigRAM with PP (CC latest update). BMD DeckLInk SDI
Media is read snappy from the RAID. (630 MB/s) and theres plenty of RAM. But its like PP stalls for a second or two every time I switch tools, Activate a drop down menu or try to select something. This is VERY annoying and I can’t work like this at all.
I’ve tried trashing Prefs with no success. Any advice?

Not sure if this is what’s causing it for you, but I’ve been having the same problem when I’m working on a sequence full of merged clips. Ended up having to remake them all as single-angle multicams and then had to go through replacing them in my sequence. I’d try deleting any merged clips out of your sequence as an experiment and see if that helps.
Also, I’ve had some success with cleaning the media cache database. and sometimes, as a last resort, just deleting the media cache files & media cache database in the finder (though then premiere has to recreate all the pek & ims files which can take a while).

If you have your scopes open try closing them. They can be buggy to the overall operation at times.
