    Hi,

I am using Premiere CS3 and am also trying out CS5. I just recently got a new computer and for some reason Adobe wont let me capture my footage in either version. The capture box says “Cant activate recorder” I am using the same firewire I was in my old computer. My camera is a Sony HVR-Z5U. I am running Windows 7. My computer recognizes that my camera is pluged in. I dont know what to do to solve this issue. Any help would be amazing.

When in Trial mode you won’t get any MPEG (HDV for example) editing import or capture. You can set the camera into DV down convert to capture in the windows version. Currently the Mac version is experiencing some hiccups in the down convert capture from HDV to DV stream, but windows 7 works fine.
