Then keep an old Mac running and older supported OS with FCP on it. When you get a new machine, keep an old one around just for this. You can also export an XML of the project and open that in PPro if you want. But the project won’t be as perfect as it was in FCP…titles will need redoing and such…

May 28, 2014 at 6:27 pmHi Steve,
[Steve Brame] “Unfortunately, when a problem that I cannot track down occurs, I can’t get to anyone near that level. “You have my email. Please feel free to drop me a line if you run into trouble again.
[Steve Brame] “That level of care hasn’t translated down(or over, as it is)to support, at least for us ‘little guys'”
“After suffering through a weekend of troubleshooting and dealing with totally inadequate support, I’d be a bit hesitant to recommend basing your company’s editing platform around Premiere.”
I’m very sorry that you had trouble over a weekend when our support experts are not available. During the week, feel free to chat or call our support line and be sure to ask for the “professional video queue.” That way, you can ensure that you are reaching support professionals with experience in our video products. Over weekends, we only have support for downloading and installation problems. Sorry, but that’s the way it’s been for some time.
Again, contact me if you run into any problems and I’ll do my best to see that you’re helped ASAP.
Thanks,
KevinKevin Monahan

May 28, 2014 at 7:14 pmUnfortunately, if you recall, I eventually got a call from the professional video queue later that week and they were, let’s just say, less than helpful.
And I do appreciate the effort you have made for me the past few weeks. I’m quite sure that there are quite a few good support techs at Adobe. I can even remember some exemplary experiences in the past. Perhaps I’ve just had a run of bad luck recently.
