Premiere slowing down after trimming clips
Hi there.
I am using Adobe Premiere Pro CC2015, CUDA supported. I have been editing fine for the past few months, when suddenly my program has started bogging down every time I extend a clip by dragging the edges. I have cleaned my cache, restarted, relinked all media after making it offline. I’ve also cleaned up unnecessary disk space on the hard drive, yet it still bogs down.
It will freeze for about 10-30 seconds every time I drag a clip, and then run slowly for a while afterwards, making editing very difficult.
It freezes on this screen, where the two clips being effected are shown side by side (is it possible to turn this feature off?).

I think there is a setting under the wrench to disable that.

I figured it out!
It was the composite preview being generated every time I would drag a clip. I disabled it by clicking on the wrench icon in the timeline controls and un-checking, “Composite Preview During Trim”

Thanks for sharing the solution. This problem has been driving me crazy for months!
I wonder why is creates such a problem, as it is a function that the software is supposed to be able to do and my system is quite powerful.
