    Hi there,
I’m trying to capture from my JVC-GZ-HD7U camera to Premiere Pro CS3. It won’t capture. PP sees the camera playing and pausing, but the screen is black on my PC, and there is only audio and video showing from the actual camera.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    All the best,
    Amanda

What are your “device control” settings in the capture window?

    Device: DV/HDV Device Control
    Preroll time: 2
    Timecode Offset: 0

Is that what you’re looking for?

Is your camera set to “camera” or to “VTR” in its settings?

    I can’t find anything that’s a VTR setting.
Perhaps your meant VCR? In which case, yes. I’m playing back the footage on my camera.

You cannot capture from this camera into Premiere because its a Hard disk camera. Only tape cameras will let you capture footage.
Copie the footage from your camera onto the hard disk of your pc(read the manual of your camera how to do that) and then import footage into Premiere.
