Hi all what is anyone’s solution to doing a quick export and upload for client approval. Example I edited a video the other day, exported from premiere, uploaded to Vimeo -(have to wait for Vimeo to convert it) then I sent the client the review link. About 2 mins later the client sends me an email to change 2 minor adjustments 🙄. So I had to go back thru that whole process.

Looking for ideas on how to make this much easier and quicker.

Adobe bought Frame.io, so you could use that in place of Vimeo. The basic process is fundamentally the same, but the “Review in Frame.io” panel has some nice integration that connects your edit to the online review version. You can link the playheads so your Premiere playhead jumps right to the comments as you click through them. You can import comments as markers into Premiere. You can even have Premiere encode and upload the file from the Review panel — you never have to leave Premiere, or touch a file in Finder or Explorer.

Here’s some basic info from Adobe:

If you want to cut the render/upload piece entirely, you can do live reviews with your client. Zoom screen shares are cheap at the expense of quality, or you can use a more expensive, lower-latency, higher-quality streaming service like SetStream.io, Streambox, Sohonet, or Colorfront.

    Hey Walter

Yeah I am aware of Frame IO -I just didn’t wanna pay for ANOTHER app-Did Adobe include this in their CC subscription? I only use about 3 apps in the CC. Maintaining F IO at the free version is a pain in itself because they hardly give you any space

You get two users, five projects, and 100 GB of storage included with Creative Cloud.

set your preview format to something with adequate quality for review and then use the previews for your export, an option in the export dialog under “general.” This way with just a few changes, you can quickly re-render and export very quickly.

I have an export preset that is fast and works great. A 30 second spot is small enough to be emailed. If client is looking for shot and logo placement then this works.

Attached is example 30 commercial and the preset.

…….well it seems i can’t upload an EPR……that’s pretty stupid.

my email is jerryw@ktvt.com ask for the EPR and i will send to you.
