  Premiere Pro XML imports files with timeline clip names

  Hello everyone,

  I’m trying to import an xml file from another editor with another project but we are using the same media and the same project names and workflow. The issue is when I import the timeline XML Premiere Pro assumes the clip renames used only in the timeline (I was sure not to check the rename with source name enabled). I can see in the project media that it links to the original files and has its names, without a problem, but it still duplicates the clips with the timeline name as the name of the clip. I don’t need the duplicate file or even it to assume it has the timeline sequence rename.

  How can I manage to import the XML without the re-configuration of the clip names? + Avoiding duplicate files.
