Premiere Pro Export Problem
I have Premiere Pro CS5 on a PC. I have downloaded all available updates. Fast computer, lots of ram, etc.
I have a project that has 30 seconds of an intro which was titles made in After Effects, then 7 minutes of P2 footage from an HPX 170 then 30 seconds of credits made in After Effects. I have to export this to Quicktime with DVCPRO HD 720 Codec.
When I export, everything is okay until it gets to the end credits, then it stops. It does not crash, the bar quits moving and the time remaining starts going up. I don’t know what to do because it exports the intro which I exported from After Effects exactly the way I did the end credits. I have tried exporting the credits from After Effects as Quicktime, AVI, JPEG sequence, TIFF sequence and h264 and it stops at the same place every time. I have moved the credits ten seconds later in the timeline and it still hangs up at the start of the credits.
Any ideas?

Will it export if you simply remove the end credits (as a test)?
Then…will a timeline with just the end credits export?
If no/yes, I’d look at the end of the 7 minute section instead of the credit clip.
If yes/yes, I’d consider what I’m using for a transition between the last P2 clip and the credits…maybe try forcing “Render Entire Sequence” then see if Media Encoder will get through it all. Perhaps there is a transition the Media encoder chokes on…there aren’t many, but I’ve discovered a few.

Well it wasn’t the transition but that helped me find out what it was. There were no transitions, just taking opacity to zero. When I tried to put a transition on it I found that there was a frame in between the last clip and the credits. I moved the credits next to the last clip and it rendered fine. I can’t believe it was as simple as that.
