Premiere Pro CS6 crashes when importing 4K H264 MP4 Video
Hello,
I try to edit a 4K Timelapse-Video i rendered with After Effects in Premiere Pro.
The 4K Video has H264 MP4 as codec and runs completly fine with QuickTime on the Mac.Premiere imports the video and then it crashes.
It says, that there was a Problem with Premiere and that it has to close but tries to save the project.
I already worked with the 4K file completly fine in Premiere Pro, but like the New Projects i create, the old project with the video crashes when i try to work with it, but because i want to start a New project i don’t
care about the Old One, but just for information, the old One crashes now too !Everything except this 4K-Video-thing works fine in Premiere and the other creative cloud Apps…
Does anybody have any tipps/ ideas for me or is this a known bug ?? ( i couldn’t find anything in the Web…)
Things i tried :
-Re-installing Premiere ( with deleting the presets of premiere pro)
– different sequence settings ( but i think that isn’t the Problem because i had Premiere already running with them)
– deleting all caches (Media Cache,…) of premiere
-recoding the Video with adobe Media encoder to h264 MP4
-creating New projects and importing the videoI dont know what it could be, i dont have anything in mind that i changed that could cause this…
I edit on an 2011 i5 iMac with 16 RAM and an external Hard Drive for my Media.
Sincerely
Johannes Knecht
