Try this…. I’m guessing that these lines only show up AFTER RENDERING, right? If so, turn on Display Both Fields, and tell me if that helps…..

Actually when I apply any change in the image (size, position, effects) everything is fine. The problem appears when I just move the video in the timetable. I also tried to just upper field and both fields but that didn’t change anything.

When I do the rendering in .avi or something else there the video is clear (like the source or the preview screen when I captured).

Strange because I had tried the demo of CS4 on the same configuration which worked.

I’ve stopped using CS5 but for other reasons apropos my recent problems with Boris Graffiti (in another thread)

I got the same initial problem as yourself but fixed by showing both fields. More worryingly however, using my 1080p monitor as an HDMI output I get very fine, almost imperceptible vertical lining on all my output (never had this on CS4, another reason for my reversion back)

Ah I forgot to precise that I shoot with a Canon XL2 (PAL) at 50i.

I checked again with the upper and lower field and find another way to show the video clearly. I go to:
Clip -> Modifiy -> Interpret Footage
And I change the field order from “lower field first” to “upper field first”

But when I checked about the problem on Google I found that video shooted on MiniDV should be set on “Lower field first” no?

Why are you quoting these settings in your OP, Pal = 720×576

If I resize the video like 101%, 150%, 200%, … in the timetable the strange color bands disappear. It’s the same if I change the position of the video (centered in 360×288) to 361×288 or 500×300…

If you have a NVidia videocard change the 3D settings to “Let the 3D application decide”.

If you try what Ann says and it doesn’t work, try rolling back the driver to a older one, you could also goto the nvidia website and use the widget to tell you the optimum driver
