  premiere pro cs5 keeps freezing

  Hey guys

  Came across a problem with this project i was given to edit.. Took it off the harddrive and placed it on my desktop. The project need finishing and tidying up. It was edited on PC and on CS4 so i had to convert to CS5 and save it to a different destination which seemed to work fine. The project is 160GB and was shot in SD

  Why does this project keep freezing when auto-save kicks in?? and takes for ever to connect to the media?? It’s totalling unworkable and driving me crazy.

  My computer has never had this problem i have imac quad-core 2.8 about 700GB free and 8GB of ram.

  Has anyone run into this problem before got to finish this project in a few days.

  Any help would be much appreciated.
