    Premiere Pro CS5 can’t capture HDV from Sony Z5 or HDV Deck via firewire. Any help appreciated.

    I have the same problem ever since CS6. Lots of things to try.
    I use HDVsplit a free program that captures clips from my HDV deck without incident. The days of having to ever batch recapture from HDV are almost nil.
