Premiere Pro CS4 video slow and not in sync
Hi. I am new here, first time poster.
Okay, I am at a loss here.
I am trying to put together a video. Material is from 2 different cameras, both 1080 HD 29 fps.
Video plays perfectly on any media player, but as soon as I import it into PP it plays to slow, roughly at half speed, but sound is normal.
What I do not get is the following: Until yesterday I worked with the same material on my computer and everything was absolutely perfect. Unfortunately I had a crash and had to wipe the system. Since then I have this problem.
Any ideas?

Where are you storing the videos?
And how long are they? -
All clips are saved on the main hard drive. Same as PP.
Length is amuthing between a few seconds and about 3 minutes. -
Storing the media on the system drive can be problematic because you are asking the main HD to do a lot. It’s best to get a dedicated media drive and keep your media on it. I organize mine according to project name. These are called the scratch disk. In the Project > Project Settings… > Scratch Disk you can tell PP where to store stuff.
Once your media are on the Scratch Disk (a totally separate disk), then you use the Media Browser to import the media into the Project Pane.
