    Hi,

I’m trying to upload a soccer game I shot in avchd to youtube. I import all the clips into the timeline and all that, but when I go to export in either H.264 Blu Ray or MPEG2, premiere splits the audio and video into seperate files. Is there a way around this? Another setting perhaps?
    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Jamie

    Jamie,

The same thing happens to me, I think that’s how it works.

I think If it’s meant for youtube, you should prbably use H.264 and use regular HD as opposed to Blue Ray.

Blu Ray and MPEG2 encoders need separate audio and video files for building the discs. For MPEG2 delivery for other mediums you will want to use an elemental stream.

For You Tube start with the YouTube presets in Media encoder as they are already set up with the YouTube specs.

That is because the multiplexer (device that outputs to single file) is default off for BD and DVD.
For Youtube choose one of the presets. They are under the H.264 format in the export settings.
