Premiere Pro CS 5.5 Dynamic Link Error
I have run into an error that I can’t figure out. I tried to log into the Adobe forums but my password has stopped working and the weekend crew at Adobe chat support couldn’t get me signed on to post.
The issue concerns files connected to PP using Dynamic Link. There have been no changes I am aware of in my system (no apps or software changes) and these files worked fine between PP and AE for more than a year.
The project I am working on is based in PP (CS5.5) and among other assets uses comps from AE that were brought in with Dynamic Link. At the end of the night one of the programs (I forget which) froze when I closed it out so I used windows to shut it down and logged off. When I came back in yesterday the AE file would stop loading at 38%. No matter how long I waited it just stayed at 38%. When I opened the PP file I noticed at the bottom of the screen where it lists how many files are left to load that it had stopped with 115 files left. All of the assets that were brought in via dynamic link from AE now showed as offline.
I have tried resetting the presets (CTL/Shift/Alt at start up) of both PP and AE but the problem persists. And I no longer have the ability to import via dynamic link, even in a brand new project.
Do I need to uninstall and reinstall PP and/or AE, or the entire Master Collection for that matter to fix this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
