i posted this on toms hardware and got no help so im reposting it here.

Out of nowhere premiere pro CC will not launch anymore. when i click it, the loading screen comes up, with all the really fast loading text and then abruptly closes, then like 5 seconds later, a window pops up saying premiere pro has stopped working, in another window along side that one has this info.

“Files that help describe the problem:
    C:\Users\Noah\AppData\Local\Temp\WERC11C.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml
    C:\Users\Noah\AppData\Local\Temp\WERD623.tmp.appcompat.txt
    C:\Users\Noah\AppData\Local\Temp\WERD692.tmp.hdmp ”
i dont know what this means or if it help solve my problem.

Have you tried trashing preferences? They Might have not gone away with the uninstall.

okay, wow. so i think i just solved my problem. awhile back i installed a codec ( OpenEncodeVFW) so i could use my R9 380 to record with, turns out that codec was causing premiere to crash.
