The production company I work for is finally moving on from FCP 7. We are very strongly leaning towards using Creative Cloud. One of our main clients stills requires delivery on HDCAM tape. Can Premiere does this w/out 3rd party hardware like an AJA io/HD?

How would you connect the computer to the deck without video I/O hardware?

I shouldn’t have said completely w out an AJA io. I meant not exporting a QT and then using the io to put the QT to tape. We have an older AJA io.

You can lay out to tape right from the sequence in Pr when you have an I/O device.

and the capture utility built into premiere was overhauled greatly
as of CC version. (capture as prores on a mac for example)

    Works great.

I know that the IoXT and Io4K are supported in Premiere…but the IoHD was specific to FCP only. Discontinued hardware, so no drivers for Adobe. You’ll have to get new hardware…or use AJA software to output to tape…or FCP.
