Premiere Pro CC 2018 importing audio only, vo video to media browser
I recently upgraded to CC 2018. I only get audio into Media Browser when I import the vid/audio .mov file. I have researched this on the web and Adobe sites finding little information.
I followed suggestions I’ve found. I have deleted my cache and I have renamed the files. Neither workaround has consistently worked. (Renaming did it for one clip, and once only.)
Does anybody have a solution for Audio only importing without video into Premier Pro CC 2018? Thank you.

Very possibly a codec inside that MOV wrapper that Adobe has dropped support for in 2018. What codec is your footage encoded with?

Win 7 64-bit

Adobe CC 2017.1 (as of 8/2017)
256GB SSD system drive
4 internal media drives RAID 5
Typically cutting short form from UHD MP4, HD MP4, and HD P2 MXF.
