Okay so here it goes-currently running 2009 4,1 mac pro with 480GB SSD internal, OSX10.9.5, AJA LHi connected to Active RAID & Xserve running Xserver via Dual Fibre Channel.

Upgraded from PPCC mid project. Sequence I was working on was a simple multi cam (i.e. only 3 cameras all transcoded to prores422). Upgraded project fine. Worked on it for a day. Came back the next and all fine up until I took a lunch break.

When I booted app back up it wouldn’t open my project & kept crashing. I went to the forums and figured out the permissions thing. Cleaned them all up but still no go for the project or its backups. Opened AE CC 2014-tried to import sequences from that. That worked but it lost the clip information so when I exported the sequence back to PPCC 2014 in a new project it had the cut locations but used the one source clip rather than the source 3 clips.

I figured that I should try importing the sequences (from the non-opening project) in a new PPCC2014 project-This actually worked and finally I was able to get my cut back. I still cannot open the old project or back ups.

Hope someone who has a similar problem can use this workflow to get back to where they left off.

    all the best
