I’ve got a documentary project with a ton of material that we are splitting up amongst a Lead Editor and an assistant editor both working on Premiere Pro CC 2014. They both have clones of all the media.

The turnaround is quick on this, so we have them each going through the footage and logging, syncing the multicam and audio files, and making notes and pulling selects.

What would be the best way to combine all of this logging work into the main project for the Lead Editor to make use of once the initial logging is done?

I’ve been reading about combining multiple projects, and a lot of people are suggesting importing sequences, but that won’t work in this case, because it’s the work of the actual logging and notating of the footage in the bins that we’re looking to split between editors and recombine.

    Anyone have any ideas?

How did you split up the footage (ex. AE gets some days and the lead gets the rest of the days)? How are you logging and notating the footage? Changing file names? Putting info in the “log note” or “description” columns in the Project Window?
