    Greetings!

I am using Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 to edit video and I love it with my DVX100B and Canon HF S20.

I recently acquired footage from a Creative Vado device. It is an .avi file 720p at 30i. I am having problems importing the video file into Premiere Pro CS5. When I import it, premiere pro sees it only as an audio file. However in adobe bridge I can see the video. The video also works fine in windows media player.

Please help if anyone knows a solution to this.

    Thank You,
    jojo

If its like other consumer cameras that record to AVI, it probably uses some form of the MJPEG codec.

You should be able to convert it to an H.264 file, or whatever else you need in Adobe Media Encoder. For files that behave this way, I usually had to manually set the keyframe distance to every 1 frame to have it convert properly
