Premiere Pro / AE 14 – no render issues…
I’ve read with interest the issues that others are witnessing with PP / AE 14 and rendering. However, I’ve just rerendered 2 of our intro segments (for presentation vids) and they appear normal (just render faster). I’m using the default settings for Quicktime, 1080p. In side by side comparisons with output from AE CC on the same machine, I can find no differences in the output of either comp.

I’m concerned that I’m walking through a mine field and I’ve just been lucky.

🙂 Kevin – less of a report of success than a “what am I doing right (wrong)” post. I’m concerned that others are having serious issues while I’m not. That’s why I also mentioned that I’m using largish (4TB) SSD arrays for all disk-assigned activities. Maybe there’s a level of I/O latency that’s getting into the mix?

Hi Eric,
It’s the base model new Mac Pro with the memory upgraded, so they are the 2 ATI D300’s.

Based on the information of rendering anomalies and crashing, I suspected the memory management ie buffering to be the issue. I would not be surprised if the 2GB cards don’t show the problem versus the 3GB and higher cards. The caching models would be different.
