    premiere pro 5.0 what graphics card will work best

    Hi guys

    Just a few questions..

    Don’t know much about graphics cards and was wondering if i would get better performance out PP5.0.3, AE and PS with a new card or if i up it to 12GB of ram? i work with a bunch of different formats and codecs.

    I edit on a

    imac 2.66 GHZ intel core i5
    8GB ram
    ATI Radeon HD 4850

    I’m a bit of a rookie at the technical side of things but like my system to run as smooth as it can.

    Any help would be much appreciated as i am very keen to learn.

    Sorry if this topic has been covered couldn’t really find what i was looking for.

    I don’t think you can swap out the graphics card in an iMac. Think you’ll have to stick with the ATI card.

    2nd that – but the memory upgrade sounds like a plan.
