    Hi ALL,

I am Adobe premeire pro2 user …had used it for 2-3 month did 1-2 project
But am sure I havnt used its all features.

But since there is new version in the market CS4 MY QUESTION are

    1. Is it worth to goon higher version.
    2. Am sure cs4 will have all the feature of APPRO2 plus extra.
    3. Is the layout is same to pro2 or do I have to learn its layout Again.

    Please pour in your suggestion

    thanks

    1. CS4 requires more horsepower and RAM to run smoothly. Core 2 Duo and 2 gigs of RAM minimum.

    2. CS4 cant author DVDs, so you will need to learn Encore.
    3. CS4 layout is mostly the same as 2.0.

    I opened a PP2 project in CS4… a complete disaster.
The files, being yet PAL 720×576 widescreen, appeared smaller than the black CS4 container screen and out of place.

Does anyone know a way to correct such aberratio?

    Hello Manraj Singh,

my first impressions of CS4 are very very good. After much grief with CS3, I was skeptical about CS4, and even toying with the ultimate switch to FinalCut.

But CS4 seems real sweet – albeit, these are just first impressions with just 2 short projects over the period of a week.

The most important changes to me are the new (well except old Premiere 5 used to have it) BATCH ENCODE… and finally getting your material to easily preview on the device of your choosing, i.e. an external monitor not hooked up to a DV-device. Just with a mouse click, like Final Cut.

I haven’t tested it yet, but like FCP you can now also mix formats on the same sequence.

In general, my system seems faster/more stable with CS4 than CS3… I have read somewhere that CS4 administers the memory more effectively. Anyway the entire week was free of any glitches!

    good luck,
    ninetto m.
