When you open a 6.5 project in 1.5, it makes a new project file.
But I just found out that 2.0 re-saves the 1.5 file, so you can no longer use it with 1.5.
Which is a bummer because my home computer runs 2.0 fine, but my office computer needs to be upgraded in order to run 2.0 smoothly.

I guess this will give me the excuse to upgrade the computer.

Yep, that is true. I always reccomend saving a copy of your project file, before opening up a file in a new version.

I did not intend to open the project in 2.0, but since both are installed, when I double clicked the project file it defaulted to 2.0. Now I always use right click – open with… to be certain.
That being said, one of the backups was pretty close to my most recent save out of 1.5 so hope remains!
