    Hello Everyone,

    Two questions:

Number 1. I know Premiere CS3 is compatible with the Multibridge Pro, but is Premiere Pro 2.0?

Number 2. If Premiere Pro 2.0 is compatible with the Multibridge Pro, can I use the Multibridge to convert and SDI-HD signal from my PMW-EX1 into a format that PP2 can work with? Because as everyone knows Premiere cannot natively edit XDCAM files.

    Thanks

    Hi Aaron

Unfortunately i can only answer your questions to the best of my knowledge. im not 100% sure. Im sorry im not too familiar with Premiere but im sure somone else will be!

    1. I dont see any reason why it shouldn’t work with Premiere Pro 2, the best test i suppose would be to have a go! If the Blackmagic presets appear in project presets then you shouldn’t have a problem. (you can check your multibridge is working correctly using the deck control utility.)

    2. As for this one im afriad im not sure. Have a look at the input processing settings in Apple>>system preferences>>decklink.

Sorry i cant be more helpful but im just not familiar with Premiere!

    cheers

    Hello Aaron,

Yes Multibridge is compatible with Premeire Pro 2.0. You should be able to input the video through the capture window using the Blackmagic Design project preset for the HD level you are working with. So if 1080i, 1080p, choose the preset then int he capture window you should be able to configure how the footage gets into the machine which inputs from the capture window.

    Hope that helps?

    Thanks,

    Leo
