    Hi,

I have Adobe Premiere Pro 2 and it crashes my entire Acer Travelmate 5620 with Centrino Duo processor.

Premiere Pro 2 begins to start – but then just simply crashes to a black screen and restarts the entire machine…Windows tells me it has recovered from a “serious error”

    It is not kidding!

This crash occurs either as Premiere begins to load…or pretty much immediately after it has loaded.

    Fixes tried:

Installing different Graphics Drivers from Acer sites.
    Updating Win XP Pro
Reinstalling entire Adobe Production Studio Premium.

I am now out of ideas…what on earth can I try?

Any suggestions at all greatly appreciated!!

    Machine:
    Acer Travelmate 5620
Centrino Duo machine with Geforce Go 7300,
    Win XP Pro
    1 Gig Ram.

Update audio drivers…AC 97 sound card can cause this.

You can also check in Administrative Tools-Event Viewer; that just might specify what module caused the crash.
AC97 sound has been the culprit on one of my machines.

    Hi Mike and Jeff,

Thanks so much for the replies and suggestions!

You were indeed right! I downloaded/reinstalled the audio driver and Premiere hasn’t skipped a beat since!

    Fantastic. Thanks so much!
