    Maybe Todd could shine in on this. I opened a Pr CS5 project in CS4 by mistake and lo and behold, it opened!

    Took me a couple of minutes to figure it out, but it seems everything was working fine.

    Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnot.
    If you have not use any new effects or features it can work, as you have experienced.
    But theoretical Premiere is not downwards compatible.
