premiere encoder broken (thanks microsoft)
I installed Windows Media Encoder 9 (XP 64bit), and now I can’t export wmv from Premiere.
Any thoughts on how to fix this without re-installing Premiere?

Try a System Restore to the day before you installed the MS encoder. THis might fix Premiere, but will break the encoder.
