Premiere CS6 EDL workflow for Scene Detect?
Just curious if this will work coming from Premiere CS6 as it does from fcp7? I have had good results doing the baked out quicktime + edl workflow in scene detect when for sake of time or mixed formats calls for this workflow in a crunch.
My concern is that I have never done this coming out of Premiere CS6 and I do remember problems with the xml into Resolve where they had to be ‘washed’ or fixed in other words by fcp7 to get things perfectly lined up.
It is a 20 min short – 2 camera dslr shoot all cut in Premiere cs6 and with dynamic link to AE etc for gfx and nested animations etc so I just told the editor to duplicate that and make a stripped down version just one track with only the shots to be graded and make an edl from that and export as ProRes HQ. They are using the h.264 originals i know that so i wonder if a lack of timecode might be in play and make the scene cut detect edl workflow not function properly and chop up the 20 minute quicktime.
Any thoughts on this?
Thanks
Andrew
