Premiere CS5 won’t play back anything.
I’ve got a Premiere Pro CS5 project that was edited on a PC, but now on a Mac it won’t play back. I hit play, and it just sits there. I’ve already gone through the steps on this link https://kb2.adobe.com/cps/842/cpsid_84287.html and when I was logged in as the Root user I got it to work, but when I switched back to being a regular user it doesn’t work again. Should I just remain in root user mode and finish this up or is there something else I can check on.

Have you installed the Premiere Pro CS5 (5.0.2) update? That update fixes a lot of problems.
