Premiere CS5 and Matrox RT.X2 infinite export!
Hi, I Have the following system:
Asus P5KSR
Core Quad Q9400
ATI Radeon 4800
8 GB RAM
500GB System Hard drive
2 500GB hard drives on RAID
3 TB Hard Drive
Matrox RTX.2LE
Adobe Premiere CS 5.0When working with HDV I have no problem, but now I’m working on a project with 1920i footage and when I try to export my 24 minutes timeline I get “16 hours remaining” (even if I wait that time it does not export and it freezes).
The footage I’m working with is EX3 footage (converted to .MXF with the Sony EX3 Media Browser) and Mpeg2 that comes out of a Newtek Tricaster. I used some Magic Bullet Looks (but they’re all already rendered with no problem)
I don’t know which could be the problem. Any help is welcome!

Could be related to the converted clips from EX3, best practice is to just directly copy entire folder over from memory card to hard drive, without Sony software or any conversions. Then in Premiere, use Media Browser to do the importing. We had a customer with XDCAM EX and CS5 a few years ago, and the import process change fixed his workflow issues. This was done on recommendation from Adobe support.

Thanks Jeff, I’ll keep that in mind for the next. I tried to export the clips without the Magic Bullet Looks and it was really fast. Then I exported 3 minutes with the fx and took over 2 hours, despite it was all rendered previously,

Yes, those effects can be a killer. I use the Red Giant DeNoiser II and LOVE the results, has saved some projects for me, but takes like 15 hours to render a 25-30 minute HD clip.
If you had already rendered the effects (green timeline), in the AME settings window there is a checkbox to “Use Previews” down at the bottom. Can’t say how good the quality will be, depends on your preview render settings, but this should use the already-rendered clips and cut down render time

I saw that checkbox but I was wondering what exactly would do… I’m going to try on the next export and tell…
