I demuxed an mkv, got a h264 video file. I need to recompress it, but nothing seems to accept it. I dont get how I could force a program to load it so I could compress the file more.Any ideas with pprocs4?

PPro won’t import it? Would QT player play it?

You “de-muxed” it? H.264 doesn’t have an elementary mode…what type of audio file do you have?

I demuxed the mkv, since its a container, and got a video(h264) and an audio(dts).

    So neither file loads?

What if you simply convert it to a multiplexed H264?

[David Fekete] “Still dont get why ppro cant load a h264 file.Isnt there an update to fix this?”

OK…the reason why I’m trying to learn more about what you did here is that there IS no problem with H264 files in PPro…I bring them in all the time.

The issue is likely the file you’ve created…not Premiere Pro.
