    Hey guys,

    i need your advice/help. 🙂
I’ve got a Sony DSR-DU1 and want to use it with my Sony DSR570.
Everything works fine.. except one thing: Getting the data into my NLE (Premiere CS4 running on Windows). I have no problem with real-time capture, but i cant just “drag&drop” the files.
The only thing i have found by now is a Plugin for use with Premiere 6.5 to enable direct import from the DSR-DU1 – Wich does not work with CS4, certainly.

    Any help appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Martin

same problem here with du-1 with dsr-500 on windows. av/c-protocol is no problem, sbp2 doesn’t work. i’m getting a sony device with a call sign in my device manager, but no drive to select.

trying now to geht some new firmware …

[Martin Werner] “but i cant just “drag&drop” the files”
Drag and drop the files where? I thought you could just treat the DU1 as a hard drive and copy files to the computer video storage

@Brian: This is what i meant – Sorry if I wrote it misleading. I can import the video through normal “Capture”. But I dont get access to the files directly on the DU1 – And this is what i need to be able to 🙂

    SOLVED!
Win Vista and 7 do have problems with sbp2-protocol over firewire. A solution is provided by using the drivers from Unibrain /(https://www.unibrain.com).
