Hi everyone, long time reader, first time caller….

I’m editing a live music performance, of which there are multiple takes for each song.

I’ve just been asked by the artist if we can change the take we’re using of the song – which means changing the audio, which means re-editing the whole thing.

My question is: is there any way to use my existing cuts?

I’ve nested my 3 camera sequence so I can use Multicam. I’d like to copy the existing cuts on the timeline across to the second take of the song.

I may then need to do minor adjustments, but this will give me basically the same edit – and save me a lot of time.

Many thanks for all your time reading this!

    David

how about: add timeline markers at every video edit. duplicate the sequence. swap out for the other take of the song and lastly cut the angles of your multicam clip at the marker points.

Thanks Greg, that’s a good and obvious solution which I hadn’t considered!

I could even simply it further by avoiding markers, and just putting my original cuts above the new section, and manually making the cuts below.

    Thanks everyone!

Actually sorry I’m totally wrong – that replicates the cuts, but not the multicam number!

Is there a way to copy multicam data between sequence sections?
