  Premiere and encore

  I’m an editor and producer , but don’t use premiere and I’m trying to help friends who had a long one hot and 30 minute project done by another producer who can’t work on their project any longer.
  I’m trying to understand his methodology . I see a premiere project for the full length plus projects that match each of the sections of the long program.
  My question is can a short project be referenced into the long project?
  I need to fix some audio .
  Also can encore reference the short projects to assemble the DVD?
  The long project has audio already mixed down making it harder to fix problems.
