    Hello

    We are considering purchasing a new Adobe suite. After doing all of our research we are still left with this question.

    We would have a rough cut in Premiere then open it in AE to add finishing touches. If we then had to make changes to the edit in Premiere, how can we get AE to recognize the changes or update so we don

    Footage will be updated automatically and there are various ways to re-link items. You can however not hope to update your edits and trims automatically. Opening a Premiere project is a one time operation that will convert your timeline into an AE timeline. After that you can only replace, copy&paste and insert new parts from Premiere.
