Premier Pro 1.5 24p
Hi there,
I am an Avid editor who is trying to import a list made in Premiere Pro into my system. I am not familiar with Premier at all so I have a few questions.The project was shot using a VX100 in 24p mode. The editor of the project did the project as a 23.97 project. He selected Panasonic 24p Widescreen 48k as a default setting.
If this project/timeline is really a 23.97 timeline, how does PP deal with the 3:2 pulldown removal? In traditional HD 24p edits, we make all the TC in numbers end with a 0 or 5 so that the pulldown happens correctly.
Also, PP made me a 23.97 (24p) frame CMX edl. I cannot seem to import this into my Avid no matter what kind of project I make and how I try and import it. Is it really a 24p edl? Has PP done the frame removal and tc number recalculation ?
The PP editor is using PP1.5, and I am not sure if PP is causing the problem, or the problem is in the AVID import
Does PP 1.5 make correct 24p edl’s?

See if the editor can get you an .AAF instead of an EDL. Seems to work better into Avid for me, though I haven’t done it with a DVX seq.
