Premier crashes when rendering?
Hey guys, I’m pretty frustrated, since I’ve got a project due tomorrow, and I’ve been trying to render it out since Wednesday. The problem is that every time I try to export it (using file>export), it goes for about 10 minutes, and then crashes. Sometimes it just closes, sometimes it gives me the infamous “send error message” dialog box, but most of the time its some premier error (Its not the same premier error message every time… I forgot what they were, but I’ll post them as I get them).
I’ve tried going file>export>movie, tried most of the formats/codecs there, and I’ve tried the adobe media encoder thing (I don’t remember what it was).
Anyway: What I was wondering is..are there any other export options? Like…ANY other way to export it? Maybe to another program that could render it (yeah..right…)?Heck, I’d do an image sequence if I knew how. Can you even do that?
Its only a 10-12 minute video, so that’d be a long image sequence, but it’d be better than a premier project…So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
-Robert StormEdit: I guess it’d be important to mention that I’ve imported several after effects comps into premier… I don’t know if that’s significant or not.
1) And I just got a BSOD while trying to render out just the first minute of the video.
2) Premier just stopped doing anything. The “Elapsed time” counter stopped counting, the rendering progress bar stopped moving, and CPU usage is down to 2%.
Should I end process and try rendering a smaller clip at a time?
