Hello Group, Premier 6 will NOT recognize my AcedVio 1394 capture card. Wondering if I should get Premier Pro 1.5? ? ?

I really like Premier 6 for capturing video, is Premier Pro 1.5 similar?

And will Premier Pro 1.5 recognize the card?

    Anyone…!

Hello Group, Nevermind this post as I ‘fiddles’ with the software and the hardware and got it working. Ended up applying a firmware update to the AcedVio Card.

I can now capture in Premier Pro, Premier 6 and Vegas… although I AM DISSAPOINTED that the preview window in Premire 6 and in Pro have such AWFULL color/contrast displays…!

Must need further tweaking… as Premier 6 and Pro both introduce ‘vertical video’ ‘Noise’ that IS NOT IN THE ORIGINAL.

Maybe back to the drawing board..!

You might want to try capturing using Scenalyzer Live (www.scenalyzer.com). Try before buy with watermark, but it will allow you to test your capture system with non-Adobe software. If you still have problems, I would suspect your capture system/source material rather than the Premiere end.
