This is the same issue that many, many others seem to be having: All of a sudden, I’m seeing the Scratch Disk is write-protected or unavailable. If I click “Yes” to the dialogue box that asks me if I’d like to continue with my scratch disks set to “My Documents,” it takes an hour to locate media, and if it doesn’t crash before finally opening the project, it eventually crashes as it takes another hour or longer converting all the rendered files.

I even tried copying the entire project from one external hard drive into another external, and the same dialogue box appeared when I tried opening it there. Other projects are not giving me this error. I’ve tried clearing the media cache, I’ve reset the scratch disks, and I’ve tried that “hold Alt down as software opens”. Nothing has worked! Please advise, Windows users.
