  • Prem CC – Irratic pasting timecodes to in and out points in project window – Bug?

    Hello

I am really hoping someone can help me?

I am currently editing an advert for web.

I am looking through a sequence created for me with all of my rushes (with synched sound) within it.

Then i am trying to extract (using in out points) part of that(rushes)sequence as another sequence or clip.
In the aim of quickly generating a library of useable short clips to edit together later.

Is there a way of doing this easily?

    At the moment, my workflow is to;

    – in the project window
    – duplicate the rushes sequence and paste the needed timecode for each clip in the video in and out points in the project window itself.

    – Then make a new sequence from that clipped sequence.

This works fine for what i want.

    BUT!

The timecode after pressing enter, sometimes does not keep its specific number. It changes to a few frames off, sometimes, it changes correctly. Sometimes it does not change at all!

It is very strange, as i cannot really find any kind of logical pattern.

I am wondering, Is this a bug with CC? Or an issue with my mac?

    Please help.
Its driving me up the wall!

p.s; I have a really tight deadline, so i would really appreciate a response as soon as someone is able.

    Thank you in advance

    Alex

are you mixing drop-frame and non-drop-frame time code.?

    I am not sure.

I may be yes, as i seem to remember, the footage’s audio has gone ever so slightly out of sync. But not much.

Do you think that that might be the issue?

Sometimes it works after pasting it in a few times on the same sequence.

Thanks for your reply btw 🙂

    Sorry, i may have misunderstood.

The timecode remains the same throughout and i do not change it.

I am working from a master sequence, so it shouldnt change when i duplicate it should it?
