Prem 2 to Final Cut Pro
hi all,
I’m currently working for a small company as a editor, (on Prem 2) soon I am going to be moving large amounts of video across to another company that are working with Final Cut Pro. The footage they are hoping to get, which is coming from both dv cams and super VHS is 10-bit uncompressed quicktime, or as high as it can be?. From my understanding (this might not be true) prem 2 can export up to 8-bit… i am fairly new to the editing position but understand exporting and compression techniques fairly well. Any tips or advice from anyone who knows their stuff about this would be most appreciated.

Why 10 bit uncompressed when the source is 8 bit compressed at best? No use trying to add info that was not there to start with.

aa no sorry i forgot to add that part in…that’s what they would have liked to get but 8 is all it can do 🙂 cheers anyway
