  • pre-shoot help with effect – cars morphing

    Hi All,
We’ve been asked to do an effect. Cars driving along, then morphing (or something) into a different car. I’m looking for advice on shooting and how to achieve the effect. Any tips? Has anyone here attempted something similar?

Preferebly we don’t want to have the camera locked off. Also, we may have access to put the car on rollers and shoot on a key. But then, we would have to fake environment reflections….right?

    Cheers for your help.

Try RE:flex for morphing. Lots of control.

As for shooting … sorry, no tips.

If you have access to a good car mount line something up like a mirror or a window a central point to morph around.
a good idea also might be to shoot in front of a green screen then you can add a new background reflections and shadows and the background would stay exactly the same. you could film a wheel moviing and composite it on top. for motion
